Delete policies

Delete Host policies or User policies when you no longer need them in your instance. Deleting a policy permanently deletes the policy from the instance, and you cannot restore the policy. 

We recommend that you download/export a CSV file of the policy and save it offline before deleting them from the Xprotect instance.

Before you delete

Before you delete a policy, you must remove the policy from all the groups to which it is applied. You must immediately apply another policy to the group before you save the changes. Otherwise, you will not see the Delete Policy menu item for the policy (on the Policies page).
